Matt Skiba’s “Bleeding Out” on Alkaline Trio Track Produced by Travis Barker

Alkaline Trio releases “Bleeding Out” and “Oblivion.”

Alkaline Trio has been teasing for months that Blink-182’s drummer, Travis Barker, is producing three new tracks for the band. So far, two tracks have been released: “Oblivion” and “Bleeding Out.”

The collaboration comes as no surprise, considering Alkaline Trio’s vocalist Matt Skiba temporarily filled in for Tom DeLonge following his departure from Blink-182 in March 2015. While filling in for DeLonge, Skiba continued to perform with Alkaline Trio simultaneously.

Veteran drummer Derek Grant left Alkaline Trio in 2021, and the band recruited Atom Willard (Against Me!, Angels & Airwaves) as his replacement.

“Bleeding Out” and “Oblivion” are the first tracks to feature Alkaline Trio’s new drummer, Atom Willard.

“Getting Atom into the studio with us was a game-changer,” Skiba said. “His energy and precision brought a whole new dimension to our sound. It was like the band really clicked in a fresh way, and you can hear that in these new tracks.”

Both “Oblivion” and “Bleeding Out” are available on vinyl through the band’s official store, with limited-edition pressings featuring exclusive artwork and colored vinyl variants.
