New York Hardcore Legends MADBALL Set to Release Album Next March
Hardcore pioneers MADBALL are set to release a new album in March 2026, with the first single, “Tethered,” arriving this November.
Formed in the late 1980s as a side project of AGNOSTIC FRONT, MADBALL began when frontman Roger Miret allowed his younger half-brother, Freddy Cricien, to take the microphone and perform lead vocals during AGNOSTIC FRONT shows. Over the years, the band has built a reputation for relentless energy, powerful live performances, and an enduring influence on the hardcore genre, producing anthems such as “Pride,” “Set It Off,” and “Hardcore Lives.”
In August 2023, longtime bassist Jorge “Hoya Roc” Guerra announced his departure from the band. Frontman Freddy Cricien emphasized that the split was amicable, noting that the decision reflected each member pursuing different paths, with no animosity involved.
Looking ahead, MADBALL will join California hardcore band LIONHEART for a European tour in early 2026, with GIDEON and SLOPE providing support on select dates.
