Emery Extend “The Question 20th Anniversary Tour”
Emery are gearing up to hit the road once again, joined by As Cities Burn and The Classic Crime for the fifth leg of The Question 20th Anniversary World Tour. As Cities Burn will perform their 2009 album Hell or High Water in full, while The Classic Crime will treat fans to a complete performance of their debut record, Albatross.
The tour kicks off on February 25 in Lubbock, Texas, at Jake’s, followed by stops in Albuquerque, Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles, Pomona, and Fresno. The run continues up the West Coast with shows in Reno, Eugene, Portland, and Seattle, wrapping up on March 8 at Neumos.
Formed in the early 2000s, Emery signed with Seattle-based Tooth & Nail Records in 2002 — a move that helped propel them onto the national stage. Their debut album, The Weak’s End (2004), produced by Ed Rose, introduced the band’s signature blend of emotional intensity, dual vocals, and post-hardcore dynamics. The release quickly cemented their place in the emo and alternative scenes of the mid-2000s.
After extensive touring, Emery returned to the studio with producer Aaron Sprinkle to record their sophomore album, The Question, released on August 2, 2005. The record became a defining moment in the band’s catalog, featuring fan favorites like “Studying Politics,” “So Cold I Could See My Breath,” and “Listening to Freddie Mercury.”
Now, twenty years later, Emery are honoring The Question’s lasting impact with a tour that celebrates both the band’s evolution and the loyal fanbase that has followed them for two decades.
